The date 1764 suggests that Jean-François de Posson (1726-1780) had the château built during that period. The history of the seigniory starts in the 18th century. It has passed through the hands of a succession of families including the Wanfercée family, the Berlo family, the Gavre de Hérimez family, the d'Udekem d'Acoz... The main building of the castle, located in a 5 ha park, has been converted since 1985 into reception and seminar rooms. New conversions, both on the inside and the outside, make the castle of Wanfercée a magical place for private or professional organisations.
