The Defrenne Mill, situated in Grand-Leez (5 km away from Gembloux) is the last working windmill in the province of Namur. It was built in 1830 and has belonged to the Defrenne family since 5 generations. The mill successively was powered by wind, a steam engine, a gas generator and actually runs on electricity. It was listed "Monuments and Sites in Belgium" in 1962 and fully restored in 1990.

Guided tour: Sundays at 4.30pm (except from 15/11 to 15/2).
Sundays or weekdays: visits and reception of groups (min. 40 pers.) possible in the tavern (Sundays from 2.30 pm to 11 pm), by appointment.
Capacity of the tavern: 250 seats.
Programme of the tour:
- welcome and commentary by the miller
- setting in motion of the milling mechanisms
- sampling of a toast
- distribution of a pack of flower including a bread recipe
Organisation of meals, renting of hall for private receptions with or without caterer.
Free of charge for children up to 10 years.
