International Bathtub Regatta!

A quirky sporting event, this regatta consists of a fleet of floating bathtubs decorated in unusual and original ways. In Dinant on 15 August 2012

The bathtubs must be propelled by human force only!

This 30th edition has invited a special guest: Mickey Mouse!
The theme this year is: "Old and New Cinema".

The regatta is one-kilometre long and runs along the river Meuse. It attracts more than 25,000 people every year, who can watch from the banks and from the Charles de Gaulle Bridge.

The event is completely free, both for spectators and for participants. The latter will be taking home their due prizes:

More than 20.000 euros for originality, beauty, and original representation of Dinant.

This year a parade around the city has also been included in the competition

An independent committee will be judging this parade. The results will be added to those of the regatta and the winner will be awarded a car.
